It's the same old story....AFS was formed in february 2000 after a long period where pat and I were looking for crazy people in order to play the music we liked the most, the classical old school thing in the vein of youth of today and gorilla biscuits, in an age ruled by the new wave of heavy metal/gangsta new school bands. we started with the intention of doing something fun and energetic for the kids who love to sing along, pile-on and point their fingers! the first line-up featured mike (vocals), anne-lise (bass), pat (guitar) and etienne (drums) till the day anne lise left the band. that was few months after the recording of the 3 songs demo in may 2000 (at walnut groove studio) which was supposed to be on a split record with Judo Boy. ludo replaced anne lise on bass and aslak joined the forces as second guitarist. with this line-up we played like 15 good and funny shows with bands like Thumbsdown, No Redeeming Social Value, No grace... unluckily the situation got worse a few months ago (may 2001) when mike and aslak left the band because they re not felt involved anymore in the adventure. by that time only pat and me have remained in the band cause afs is more than a simple project, it's what we are about! September 2001, we found a new singer and a new bass player (nico & robin) to start the pratices again. A special thank goes out to all the people who let us play in their area and the bands we played with !!!!!!
